On Friday, February 18th 2022, a reception was held on the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Serbia. The reception was attended by Iraqi officials, business people, representatives in the field of culture, sports, media, as well as those with whom we closely cooperate. Also, there were Serbian citizens who live and work in Iraq and former Yugoslav students as well.

Finally, there were representatives of the diplomatic corps, including representatives of UN, regional and international organizations. In addition, representatives of the Iraqi Parliament and other state institutions.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was represented by Tarek Al Shaher, Europe Department Director and  several other high officials. 

Ambassador Uroš Balov held a brief speech pointing out that the bilateral relations are more than excellent and econimc relations have been significatly improved.
