H.E. Uroš Balov, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Iraq presented, on 4th July, his credentials to the President of the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Dr Fuad Masum.

President Masum welcomed Ambassador Balov and wished him success in carrying out his duties in a way that would strengthen relations between the two countries in all fields, especially economy, to the higher interests of the two friendly peoples. The President also expressed gratitude and appreciation for the distinguished role of Serbia in assisting Iraq in its fight against terrorism in terms of equipment, training and logistical support.

Ambassador Balov, first, conveyed greetings from the Serbian President Vučić, then expressed his country's happiness in achieving Iraq's final victory over the gangs of ISIS and desire to deepen bilateral relations, of 60-year long history. Ambassador Balov expressed his hopes for expanding scope of cooperation at all levels.
