Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq, 11 October 2018 – The newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia, Uroš Balov, visited the Foreign Relations Department of the Kurdistan Regional Government and was welcomed by the Head of the KRG Department of the Foreign Relations, Minister Falah Mustafa, and the Assistant Head, Siham Mamand to discuss recent parliamentary elections, the latest political developments, the government formation process and Erbil-Baghdad relations.

Minister Mustafa congratulated Ambassador Balov and wished him success in carrying out his new duties to further enhance bilateral relations and expressed the readiness of the KRG to facilitate their diplomatic mission in order to develop cooperation between the two sides and establish the representation of Serbia to the Kurdistan Region.

Ambassador Balov expressed his optimism for the visit, and his country's readiness to expand the scope of cooperation at all levels, including in the economic and commercial sectors to encourage Serbian companies to work in the Region.
