The Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi received, on Sunday, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia in Iraq Mr. Uros Balov.

 

Mr al-Halboosi affirmed, during the meeting, Iraq's determination to open up to all countries in the world, pointing to the importance of strengthening parliamentary relations between the two countries, calling for strengthening economic dealings and investment in all fields.

 

The Serbian ambassador reviewed the historical relations of his country with Iraq, which extends for 60 years, and conveyed an invitation from the Speaker of the Serbian Parliament, Mrs Maja Gojkovic, to the Parliament Speaker to visit Serbia and meet with senior officials, praising the Iraqi parliamentary experience and the role of the Speaker of the Parliament in strengthening Iraq's relations with Arab, Regional and International countries.
