Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Iraq Uroš Balov met with the First Vice President of the Parliament of the Republic of Iraq Hakim Abbas al-Zameli.
On that occasion, the possibility of improving bilateral relations between the two traditionally friendly countries was acknowledged.
Ambassador Balov congratulated his interlocutor on his recent appointment and wished him success in his work, especially emphasising the additional responsibility that al-Zameli bears at this post, as he represents the strongest political group in the country, which won the parliamentary elections held in October 2021.
Hakim Abbas al-Zameli underlined the great importance of improving relations between the two countries, which must improve the extraordinary political relations, primarily in the field of economy, defence and security, as well as in the field of culture and education.
